Fwd: Second Lap Monkey

Subject: Second Lap Monkey http://www.everymantri.com/everyman_triathlon/2007/09/monkey-poo.html The purpose of the swim is to get you on the bike. The purpose of the bike is to eat for the run. The purpose of the first run lap is to put money in the bank to pay the monkey that will jump on your back the second lap. The second lap monkey...he is a very big monkey. If this is your first Ironman, you probably felt everything in your training that you will feel on race day, except the second lap monkey. You can't train for that. The second lap monkey caries a big stick, and its name is pain. Love it, hate it, get angry at it. Breathe it with every breath, feel it with every step and use it. It lets you know you are still alive, more alive than most people will ever feel in their whole lives. The clock keeps ticking and everything bad must eventually come to an end. All you have to do is keep running in a straight line until somebody tells you to stop. Author Rich Strauss

I watched this On TV when I rested for Hk Tri race, great movie and great review. It just so simply about the friendship, it's one of the movie wet my eyes.

It's not your house...

405, since 2007 July 01, G and I spent a lot of happiness in this little flat, we set it up together and we love being living in this house. We feel so upset to know this truth, finally we need to move, it's not our house. We will find somewhere better.

Family dinner last night, mention about the mental block. my mum recalled that she did part time to earn extra little money for my swimming class but I didn't really move forward until she put on the swimsuit and screamed on me, I was touched. Cheers, Charles A quick message from my iPhone

Looking back 2010

My work and myself 2010 was a brave new page in career. I started a new page from the beginning of January, moved on my career to a larger scale environment, learning more skills and bear more responsibility. I felt comfortable to get along with the team, they are all young, friendly and energetic. That enable myself to settle down in the first 2 quarters while I can still maintain my fitness to do race in Triathlon. I was having confident to manage the training and work so I signed up my first Ironman 70.3 for Taiwan in June, I planned for 4 months of training should allow me to cross the finish line strongly in Kenting in October. However, things not always goes smooth as you thought. 3 staff turnovers in the team of 6 in latter part of the year, more loading and leadership responsibility were all shifted to my shoulders since August, think on the bright side, I've got some smart new joiner who pick up things quite fast but still took me a lot of time on guidance and mento...
