2014 was a great year!
'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' was a great movie to kick off! I was so moved and reminded myself to reach out of the comfort zone! I did that, I trained with G together for a half-ironman, (I kept saying not training for the same long course race since the nightmare situation in 2010). Now I proved myself wrong! Can do! And we did it! 4 months of consistent training with the goal in our mind, we made it! See Challenge Taiwan experience
In May we spent a week to explore Osaka , Kaga-onsen and Kanasawa for great food, onsen and some shopping, also experienced my first flight delay I enjoyed the most to extended shopping and eating at civilizied KIX airport!
After few months of researching, walking around, I bought my first car! Mini Cooper S Countryman 2012 model aka Happyman! It really fits into our lifestyle and lot of convenient for training!
Signed up another Ironman 70.3 Taiwan in November meant I have to keep myself moving and training hard in the hot summer months, this was another mindset I changed. (I kept thinking it's too hot and my body can't take it!) no I proved it wrong too! Another 4months of consistent training, it was a lot of hard work, tough sessions, I raced the race with another PB with the Sonic boy bands! Most importantly, my body and my mind is getting stronger and stronger! The confident I picked up by the triathlon training and irresistible!
In Septmeber we celebrated our wedding anniversary in Bangkok, 6years of marriage we still feel like the newly weds!
Work-wise, another major project accomplished at the end of 2014, that's another global thing with lot of $ impact. The goal was reached in July and the accomplishment was highly appreciated by the firm! Interesting!
Sonic-wise, I felt the team was also alive and more lively than 2013! I think it was because of the common goal of core Sonic people that we trained for Challenge Taiwan, and Ironman 70.3 Taiwan, we took training seriously and the atmosphere influenced to other members, coach Kenneth also did great job to keep coaching us!
In 2014, I raised the bar and set the new standard!
G was also motivated when we trained for the same race in the first half and she decided not do the Taiwan 70.3 since she felt enough of this repeated venue. She got promoted in career and she also need some time to adjust the new responsible so it could make scene to take some time off from long course races.
Looking forward to 2015 that we keep working hard at work and at sports while towarding our dream!
