I spent many time at training and hope to get the best time at half ironman race, sometime you spent the effort but not getting the paycheck, maybe it just not the right time.
I kicked off my training from Jan for the Challenge Taiwan half in late April, I ran my PB at China Coast half marathon, at the time I was going to ramp up my training volume I got flu attack, that was long and irritating, eventually down for 3 weeks, DNS for the first target race.
When the team went party and chill out, I was rebuilding my fitness and aiming for another PB attempt at 70.3 Taiwan at Kenting in November. I re-used the same training schedule, just this summer was especially hot and I never had a good session at Happy Valley, every run session was hot like in the hell and my injury in Achilles Tendon still very annoying! Approaching the race day, body was ready, mind was not, no feel good session to boost my confident and not resilient enough for the change of race venue and dynamic condition. Sucks in the end, even though it was my best swim split but the run was still very crappie and I felt very weak at the end. Completely not the same feeling I had in 2014. The race is over and I am glad to take some rest after the entire year of training.
My #micgoboy
In May, G and I adopted a kitten from Cheung Chau, it's a British short hair blue cat,we love him so much and it's amazing to train him use litter box, feed him food, and watch him grow everyday! No doubt he is our new member and quickly became the center of our conversation among friends as well as our camera! We feel love when his adorable, we feel worry when he was ill, we feel pain when he was suffering in the hospital, we feel retrieve when he discharged from hospital and became a happy boy again.
For the next generation
I took part in the voluntary event from my company, that was a one day workshop to inspire secondary school student, help them to prepare for a job interview. Well it's still early for the 15/16 yrs old for the job interview, but it was the great opportunity to know more from the new generation and give some insight from my career experience. My words to the youth: "Do what you love, love what you do."
"Follow your passions, success will follow"
My family
I promised my dad to take him back to Nagoya, we made it in November. It's the family trip of 8 days. We firstly spent 4 days in Nagoya visiting the Toyota factory, vehicles museum and castle, then drive almost 200km to Ilse to revisit the town of pearl girl and seafood, then drive another 160km to Kyoto for 2 evening stay, visiting some temples and local market and then drive 70km to Osaka as last shop for local wet market and shopping. My parent are very exciting for the trip like my first time visiting Japan, everything is so new and so exciting for them , and it's also the first time they stay at the local B&B, it's such a lovely experience since I moved out from family for long time, and suddenly i go back to the time I stay with them. They will keep chatting nonstop around me, prepare fruit and breakfast for me....and I am glad that they still have full load of energy to walk around, drive around. I, on the contrary, feeling exhausted and tired, I am really exhausted in 8 days of traveling and being a tour guide now....i still prefer a more laid back traveling.
All in all, I am happy to see my dad is very enjoying his time at Toyota headquarters and gallery, I still see his passion on vehicles engineering and he can't wait to capture every single moment.
I am glad that my parent is still healthy and active, my G continuously supporting what I do. And I have all my friends around to share whatever happening in this world.
