19 July, a day in Grand Hyatt
This was the last day in Grand Hyatt we normally spent time in the resort.
My usual routine, 30mins jog + shower + breakfast.
It was Saturday, the resort was more busy in the weekend, people already queued up for the pool side cafe where were quite quiet in the day before. Background music was loud that didn't seem to fit the morning. We didn't stay long and moved to the beach right after the breakfast.
It was still super sunshine, couldn't help to jump into the water to feel the indian ocean! It was the day of full moon, swell was strong, current was also strong that I could feel. Not really for surfing and swimming but body-boarding was fine.
We got tanned for a while from the beach then moved to the pool. Many people staying on the pool but they didn't swim, typical resort style. We took a few shots there! Weather was lovely anyway!!
Until 12:00, we went back for packing and check-out. Oh the guy served us is a front desk manager! We expressed our interested in staying in Grand Hyatt and hope he can help getting some rooms for us in September!
Simple lunch at the Bali Collection before heading to Villa Seri.
Villa Seri changed a lot, little more decor and more privacy, but the pool is still unchanged.
We were welcomed by a girl called Utami, she's for the sales and marketing and of course, I contacted her earlier for booked for some rooms for September, we are the big guest!!
The Villa provides free transport to Seminyak, they dropped us there then we took taxi to Kuta Arts Market, looking for some gift for our wedding. The Arts Market is just nearby the Kuta beach and in fact, most of the stall sells tee, clothes, nothing really special. We walked to Kuta to shop around, finally got a shop selling wooden fan. We had a great bargain and bought it at a very good price! Great! Wedding gift checked, we've done one more for the wedding!
We walked around some surf shop, feeling was different, we were very exciting in those surf shop in last visit, this time the feeling was more mellow. Maybe we've got most of the things already, not really bad!
Grabbed a taxi to Kerobokan for a dinner at La Lucciola, recommended by LUX Guide and also Frederic. The restaurant like in the middle of nowhere, it was very dark when we dropped from the taxi, after crossing the canal by an old wooden bridge, we walked though the path lightened by the torches and we could see the two level house built of bamboo, that's the restaurant!
The restaurant was quite famous as we tried book a table at 8pm but it was full so the booking change to 9:30pm but still many people dining in. We were arranged for a table at 2nd level, overviewing the beach, nice!
Looking at the menu, mm..it's international dishes, G firstly ordered the cocktail drink but it tasted weird, I ordered a glass of red that was okay. G ordered chicken breast but she said it was ma ma day...and I ordered grill US beef, medium rare which was really good! Looked like she had some bad choice that night!
We finished off by the mixed dessert so we tried four different things on the menu.
We walked around, took some shots, it was in full moon, beautiful.
