17 July, photo shoting day for pre-wedding!
6:30am, phone alarm ringing, the plan was to take a 30mins jog before the breakfast as the crew from Photo Factory will come to our room at 8am.
But why did they ring the bell at 7am?
"Hello Good morning Charles we are from Photo Factory, how are you?" Greeting from Photo Factory.
"Oh Hi! Good morning, you guys aren't coming at 8am? What is the time now?" I asked.
"It's 4 minutes past 8."
"Oh really!! It's 8am already!! GOoosh!!!"...@#$%@IU
I quickly realized the mobile phone time was in-synce with the network provider as the provider was in Jakata time and it was 1 hour before Bali time!!! DAMN!!!!!
But don't worry, as they need to do make up for G, so I went to Garden Cafe to grab some bread for G, I did my 30mins run during her make up.
I was ready and prepare for the shot as I trained hard and eat heathy for my body, but G didn't seem to be that prepare even though she tried hard to limit the intake and do as much as workout in her busy schedule. Let's see how it goes anyway.
The schedule was like this:
The morning session start from 10am after G's makeup, we were shoted in the Grand Hyatt.
About 1:30pm the crew drove us to Depensar for a lunch, the restuarant was really good and comfortable, it called Bali Bakery. It was cheaper than Bali Collection with International and Indo food provided.
The afternoon session start right after the lunch, the crew took us to Bali Arts Centre, it wasn't really special for me, just having a different partitions by the traditional Balinese gateway and wallcraft. Not staying long, we moved to the beach and we dropped by the paddy field for a few shots. We somehow still love the beach! The last checkpoint was called Canggu. It is a fast development area in Bali. It's a black sand beach nearby TanahLot so it could also provide the same setup for the sunset, another reason, it was quite quiet!
I believed we've been taken half of the shot on that beach, the sunset was really spectacular!! I couldn't help to take a few shots with myself using my mobile phone!
We moved back to the hotel and took the last shot in our room and call it a day.
We really need to say thanks to the crew, thanks to Sonny, thanks to Fendy, thanks to make up artist Yani and her friend Cok Sri! They worked really hard to follow our references (at some point we also tried very hard to act as well). They worked for 12 hours for our photo styling and they were still trying to take the best shot seriously! They might not be a good stylist or art directing but that was enough to give appreciation.
In term of our 'performance', well....interestingly, I wasn't prepare too much on the 'research' for our references but I felt that I know what to do. I was even act as an art director to give idea and guidance on the styling. Maybe that's the way of Scorpio. G was much more serious on the research stage, expecting to be good on the shot, a classic idealistic, a classic Pisces. On the day, she lost all the vision she possess. She wasn't too natural when she acted as something like the references. Maybe she was confused by the make-up which she was wearing quite a lot for the first time.
This was unleash to remove all the make up and hair gel after all, we went to ULAM restuarant in the main entrance of Nusa Dua for a lot of grilled food and a bottle of beer!!
All in all it was a very memorable photo shoting experience between us.
